The issue reportedly came up again over the weekend after an incident at one of the buildings left some residents unhappy. According to accounts circulating among tenants, several young men reportedly arrived at an apartment accompanied by two women and carrying drinks. Later, loud music could allegedly be heard from the unit, while residents said they noticed what appeared to be recording equipment being taken inside. This prompted speculation that the group may have been preparing to shoot some kind of video, although the exact purpose of the equipment and what happened inside the apartment has not been independently confirmed. The following morning, the incident was still being discussed by residents, with some using it to highlight concerns about the rapid growth of short-term rentals in residential buildings. While Airbnb-style stays can provide landlords with an additional source of income and give visitors more accommodation choices, some residents believe stricter rules are needed in buildings where short-term and permanent tenants live side by side. They argue that clear guidelines on noise, visitors and the use of apartments could help prevent conflicts while allowing property owners to continue benefiting from the growing short-stay market.
